Frequently Asked Questions
Being conscious that individuals who are intolerant of gluten may have sensitivity to other allergens as well, all the ingredients used in our playdough are food-grade, vegan and include natural colouring and scents as standard. This means that unlike products coloured with synthetic dyes, batch-to-batch colour variations are completely normal. Rest assured, the formula, safety, and performance of the product remain exactly the same.
At Sensory Kneads Playdough, we are committed to providing safe and inclusive sensory experiences. Our playdough is manufactured in small batches with every ingredient monitored for quality. If there is a query about any pot of Sensory Kneads Playdough, our batch numbers allow us to track every ingredient right back to its source.
All our playdough has been fully-lab tested to ensure that it conforms to the EU and UK Toy Standards. Once we have received confirmation that the playdough has passed the legally required testing, we can label it with the UKCA and CE marks to show that it meets the necessary Toy Standards. You can find these markings on the label on the base of each pot.
Our playdough is fully-lab tested for compliance with the EU and UK Toy Standards. One of the tests checks the size of any 'small parts', and if there are parts that are within a specific size range, there is a risk that these small parts could become a choking hazard for children under the age of 3 years because they are more likely to explore with their mouths.
The dried flower petals added to some of our playdough fall within this specific size range, and so it is important for us to alert you to this potential hazard on those variations.
